My job abandoned me and I can't find any work, what do I do?

I live in Oak Hill,WV. The company I worked for , tried to make me drive 5hrs away in one direction to work a job, using my own vehicle, no gas mileage, no per diem, wanted me to buy all my own safety items ( I already own my own tools as it is) and only wanted to pay for the motel to stay in , which was a hell hole. I told them I couldn't afford the costs of this, so they assumingly let me go, or so I thought, turns out they tried to say I refused work and quit which is a lie, now unemployment wont pay me and I can't find any jobs here in West Virginia, its like a nightmare coming to life , I dont know what to do , I've exhausted myself looking for work everywhere I possibly can and there's been no luck, I'm running out of options and I fear that if things wont change, I will be out completely, done with. Can anyone help me with what I can do?
